At Meals on Wheels Community Garden
featuring Kayla Kiefer of Chicory Root Tattoo

Join us for an evening of making rooted in nature, community, and lasting beauty. Hosted in the garden space at Meals on Wheels, this workshop invites you to slow down and create meaningful pieces that live both in your own garden and within a shared public installation.

Guided by The Sheboygan Collective featuring artist Kayla Kiefer of Chicory Root Tattoo, guests will learn the art of wood burning while designing two custom cedar fence pickets. Choose to create your own original design or work from a curated collection of botanicals, birds, and insects illustrated by Kayla.

One picket will remain in the Meals on Wheels garden as part of a growing community installation, while the second becomes a personal piece to take home and root into your own space.

Kayla brings a thoughtful, nature-inspired approach to her work, encouraging both creativity and connection through mark-making and design.
