With Kate Kaminski

Join artist Kate Kaminski of The Habitat Shoppe for a relaxed and social evening exploring clay in the ceramics studio at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center. This beginner-friendly workshop is designed to be a fun introduction to working with clay while creating a unique and functional piece for your home.

Guests will learn simple hand-building techniques to shape their own ceramic trinket tray—perfect for holding jewelry, keys, or small everyday treasures. Kate will guide participants through forming and refining their tray while encouraging playful experimentation with texture and shape.

At the end of the workshop, guests will select from a few curated glaze options, which will be applied and fired for you after the event. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup approximately four weeks later.

This workshop is designed to be a welcoming, low-pressure creative experience—perfect for a night out with friends or anyone curious about trying clay for the first time.
