Explore the bold and beautiful world of relief printing in this hands-on introduction to linocut! Led by local printmaker Erin Kaczkowski of Bite Size Studio, this class will guide you through the process of designing, carving, and printing your own original block print, perfect for creating custom stationery and greeting cards.
In this workshop, you'll gain hands-on experience with traditional linocut tools and techniques, learning how relief printing can transform your designs into beautiful, repeatable cards for the holidays or personal use.
What to Expect:
Step-by-step guidance from an experienced printmaker.
Learn how to design, carve, and ink your own linoleum block.
Learn how to edition your work and pull beautiful hand-printed greeting cards.
All materials and tools provided.
Open to ages 14+.
No experience needed—just bring your curiosity and creativity! By the end of the evening, you’ll take home your own set of custom greeting cards, designed and carved by you!
Instructor Bio:
Erin Kaczkowski holds a BFA in Print and Narrative Form from UW–Milwaukee and regularly teaches printmaking workshops throughout Sheboygan, Milwaukee, and Appleton. You may have seen her work at local art fairs such as JMKAC's Midsummer Festival of the Arts, Hovercraft Milwaukee, or Art at the Park in Appleton. Erin is also the co-founder of Rebel Reels Film Society, where she creates unique print editions inspired by each film they screen.
