Join local artist Jesse Brunette of ScrappyHourArt for a special Mother’s Day edition of her beloved collage portrait workshop. Create a meaningful, one-of-a-kind portrait to honor your mom, a mother who has impacted your life, yourself as a mother, or a cherished memory you hold close.

Attendees will be guided through the complete collage portrait process—from vision and sketching to choosing scraps, mastering paper tearing techniques, and thoughtfully assembling the final piece. Whether you create a portrait of your mom, your children, yourself, or a symbolic memory, you’ll leave with a deeply personal, handmade gift perfect for Mother’s Day.

Jesse began creating fictional collage portraits and playful biographies as a creative outlet while watching Jeopardy. What started as a hobby quickly grew into her “Scrappy” brand, expanding into landscapes, pet portraits, holiday-themed collages, and commissioned pieces. Her triptych piece Lake Cruise was recently on display at John Michael Kohler Art Center. Jesse is known for her approachable teaching style, encouragement, and ability to help students bring personality and emotion into their work.
