5th-8th Grade Youth Art Class - Portraits Mixed Media + 3D Exploration

$165.00

Wednesdays | 6:15–7:30 PM | 6-Week Session

This 6-week portrait-focused session invites students in grades 5–8 to explore identity, expression, and storytelling through art. Artists will experiment with different approaches to portraiture, including self-portraits, portraits of people or pets they admire, and imaginative representations that reflect personality and meaning.

Students will work across 2D and 3D mediums, building skills in sculpture, collage, and mixed media. Projects will include clay busts, shadow box portraits that incorporate symbolism and depth, and collage portraits led by visiting artist Jesse Brunette of Scrappy Hour Art, offering students a deeper look at layered imagery and composition.

This session encourages creative risk-taking, thoughtful discussion, and personal voice while providing structured instruction and meaningful artistic challenges. Designed for all experience levels.
