1st-4th Grade - Bloom Big: Youth Art Series
Tuesdays- April 21, 28 + May 5
This spring, we’re inviting our young artists to Bloom Big.
This three-week series is a celebration of all the creativity, curiosity, and skills students have been building in our youth programs this year. Inspired by flowers, plant life, and the natural world, artists will work together to create a vibrant community art installation that will remain on display in The Sheboygan Collective throughout the summer.
Throughout the series, students will explore a variety of materials including watercolor, oil pastels, cardboard sculpture, and mixed media as they experiment with color, shape, texture, and scale. Each young artist will contribute their own unique pieces while also helping build a larger collaborative environment that transforms our studio into a blooming creative space.
As always, our youth classes focus on process-based art, encouraging experimentation, imagination, and confidence in creative decision-making. Artists will have opportunities to work both independently and collaboratively while learning how their ideas can become part of something bigger.
What to Expect:
• Exploration of florals, plants, and nature-inspired themes
• Hands-on experience with watercolor, pastels, cardboard sculpture, and mixed media
• Both individual art-making and collaborative installation work
• A supportive, process-focused creative environment
What Students Will Love:
• Seeing their artwork become part of a larger community installation
• Experimenting with different materials and techniques
• Working alongside other creative students
• Watching the studio transform as the project grows
By the end of the series, our studio will be filled with blooming artwork created by our young makers—an installation that will remain in place for the community to enjoy throughout the summer.
This program is perfect for both returning students and new artists who want to explore creativity in a welcoming and imaginative space.
Our studio is located on the second floor with stair access.
